Michael received his B.A. from Tufts University in Psychology and English. He recieved his Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the Meiji College of Oriental Medicine (renamed The Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley). After successfully passing the California Board examiners 2000, Michael began practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA. He is a past Diplomate of the National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics, and has extensive experience in chronic pain management and women's health issues. He has served as a treating acupuncturist in research studies on pregnancy and depression for the Stanford School of Psychiatry. Michael's training includes classic Five Element theory, Japanese meridian/hara diagnosis, micro and milli-current electroacupuncture treatment, and traditional Chinese herbology. In 2014, Michael received his Maryland State Acupuncture License , and practiced there for five years prior to relocating to Breckenridge.
In his spare time, Michael is an avid yoga practitioner and teacher, he loves to ski, cook, and play guitar. Michael's other fitness interests include tennis - he played at the collegiate level and was sectionally ranked as a junior in New England - and he has completed the Marine Corps Marathon on two occasions.
